Today was a wonderful day. It wasn't too hot or too windy. After having many weeks of temperatures of over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, this day was beautiful. Tonight, as I went through my emails, I received something amazing in my email box. I found it so interesting and amazing, that I wanted to share. In the Bible, there are so many chapters and verses. Someone took the time to discover the answers to these questions. What is the shortest chapter in the Bible? The answer is: Psalms 117 From the King James Version, this verse is a Praise for the LORD's Merciful Kindness 1 O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. 2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD. What is the longest chapter of the Bible? Psalms 119. This chapter has 176 verses. It begins with: Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD. The last verse is: I have strayed like a lost sheep. Seek your servant, for I have not forgotten your commands. This chapter is a personal prayer to our Creator. The verses talk about blessing, praising, rejoicing, God’s commandments and love. What chapter is the center verse of the Bible? It’s hard to believe, but it is Psalm 118:8. Which reads: "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” The findings get even more amazing. There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118 and there are 594 chapters after Psalms 118. If you add the two numbers; 594 plus 594 together, you get 1188. The same number as the center verse in the Bible is . . . 118:8. God is the center of everything. He makes it so plain in this verse. The power of God is astounding. Nothing and no one can withstand Him and no situation is impossible to God. My prayer for today is: May God’s peace and love surround you like a warm blanket and a comforting hug. For with peace comes joy and happiness. The love of God brings healing to your body, mind, and emotions. 1 Peter 5:7 (King James Version) Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Psalm 18:2 (King James Version) The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
